DrumSpeaking is a magnificent way to actualize the inner rhythm which exists within every individual's soul, as well as the collective whole. Hand Drums have a distinct voice all their own in the percussion family. We use them in gatherings and circles because of their versatility and their deep roots to our primal energy and tribal root chakra. There is play and musical interaction during group sessions, story telling, teaching and time for questions. The sharing is upbeat, energizing, and enlivening.
John discusses the drum family and their elements in nature, such as water and ocean drums, the Bodhran and haunting animal sounds one can evoke from the unique skins, uses of hand drums in present day DrumSpeaking. Why different skins and woods are used. Shamanic drumming for otherworldly journeying, inducing altered states, assisting in right - left brain and intuitive development.
John shares a rich and rewarding gathering with people of all skill levels and all ages. His programs have been successful because of his knowledge and decades of experience, his enthusiasm, passion, and love of music.
